Joey joined ERA in 2007 following his return to Toronto from Vancouver. He graduated from the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture at the University of British Columbia where he received his Master of Architecture degree. Upon graduation, he was named to the RAIC Honour Roll and received the RAIC Medal.
His thesis project, Territorializing the Residual, was awarded a Canadian Architect Student Award of Excellence. He is co-editor of Vancouver Matters, a book that critically examines the city through its material conditions.
Joey is one of the organizers of the firm’s People per Hectare and Found Toronto installations, exhibited at Harbourfront Centre’s Architecture Gallery. Joey’s current conservation work includes projects at Exhibition Place, Sony Centre and Allandale Train Station
